Off To The Farmers Market
You'll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't love Fulton Street Farmers Market. It’s been around for 95 years and it will surely stay open for another 95 years (at least)! It’s such a great place for Michiganders and visitors to find all kinds of locally grown vegetables, baked goods, artisanal snacks and even artwork. Just be sure to get there before 1pm (it opens at 8am typically) if you want a guarantee of the best selection. Madcap coffee is right around the corner and during the hot summer days, it’s a great idea to stop there first and grab an iced coffee to sip on as you make the rounds in the farmer’s market. If you want to opt for something sweeter and even cooler – there’s usually an ice cream vendor stationed nearby offering icy treats. Whatever you get is guaranteed to be a delicious or delightful experience so if you’ve never been down to the market, don’t hesitate to make this your next stop the next time you are visiting Grand Rapids.
